What you will be working on:

Xcalibra (https://xcalibra.com), a financial exchange platform that matches people’s orders in real time between different cryptocurrencies and national fiat currencies.

• Our main backend and satellite microservices are all written in pure node.js
• Data is stored in postgresql
• Frontend is React + Redux, Typescript and Styled Components
• Our landing page is in Next.js
• Some of the admin apps are wrapped in Electron.js
• Our Deveops flow is based on Gitlab + Gitlab-CI
• We host all of our work on our own dedicated server infrastructure

The platform has been operational for nearly 3 years. Currently we are in progress to onboard the United States Systems which involve USD wire deposits and allowing customers to openly trade the United States Dollar. This system is of top present priority and needs admin section interfaces, and the user experience improvement for depositing USD.

You would be our ideal candidate if:

• You have at least 5 years of professional experience working on web apps.
• You know Node.js and React.js
• You have an eye for details and empathy towards the user. You know that first stab at a new UX flow is rarely ideal and you are eager to keep iterating until you find a better solution.
• You understand best practices and when to break them. You can write perfomant code, but you know when not to. You appreciate the importance of combating the spread of entropy in large codebases.
• You are a thoughtful and detail oriented developer. The code you deliver is reasonably tested and stable, leaving only an occasional edge case for the QA to discover. You don’t expect anyone else to clean up after you.
• You are Proactive. Instead of sitting idly, you pick tickets you’d like to work on. You create new ones when you have an idea or notice something is wrong or could be improved. You are OK with a flat organizational structure.
